About Synergy

Synergy began as the operating engine behind a single primary care and obesity medicine clinic in Lewisville. Standing that clinic up meant doing every unglamorous thing a practice needs: negotiating the lease and managing the buildout, configuring an electronic health record, enrolling with a clearinghouse, filing credentialing applications with seven payers, opening a laboratory account, hiring and training front desk staff, writing HIPAA policies, building a website and running the first patient acquisition campaigns.

Doing that once is expensive. Doing it a second time costs a fraction as much, because the contracts, the platform configuration, the policies and the people already exist. That is the business: an administrative platform built for one practice, then made available to others so a physician can own a weight loss or primary care practice without personally becoming an operations department.

We work in one category on purpose. Weight loss, obesity medicine and primary care share a payer landscape, a set of authorization problems, an advertising rulebook and a retention problem, and a manager who sees the same issues across every client gets better at them. We serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and plan to support five to six client practices within five years, adding staff at the platform level as each one comes on.
